To get to the Grotte di Nettuno, you drive along Capo Caccia until the road ends. It just stops: no turn-around space, no warning. There's a snack bar with the words "Grotte di Nettuno" on it and, at the end of the road, a set of stairs. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk down them, and the views are incredible. And then, at the bottom, after you get past the thundering wave that whooshes into the entrance to the grotto every thirty seconds, you enter another world.

  1. Grotte di nettuno was amazing, wasn't it? Your camera took much better pictures inside than mine did. ^_^
I like looking at all your pictures of the different places you go, but it was especially fun to look at all the Sardinia ones and remember it all. What an amazing little place.

  2. It really was so, so cool. I was pretty grateful to have a decent camera inside the grotto -- and even so, I ended up with a bunch of pictures that were quite blurry due to the low light. Glad you've been enjoying my photos, and for sure, Sardinia is particularly awesome.
